Dr. Aimee Edwards was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She has always known she wanted to be a veterinarian and would play vet clinic with her childhood pets! Dr. Edwards moved to Baton Rouge in 2010 to attend Louisiana State University for her undergraduate degree, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and graduated with a degree in Animal Sciences. She continued her education at LSU and graduated from the Louisiana School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Dr. Edwards practiced in Ponchatoula for three and a half years before moving closer to home and coming to Cat Care Center.
She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Louisiana Veterinary Medicine Association, Baton Rouge Area Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Feline Practitioners, and the American Animal Hospital Association.
Dr. Edwards has a special interest in all aspects of surgery and is learning how to bring new and innovative surgical techniques to our practice. She currently resides in Baton Rouge with her husband, two cats, and dog. Dr. Edwards is dedicated to bringing the best care and compassion to the felines of Baton Rouge.
