Veterinarian
Dr. Chloe Accardo is a native Louisianian. She was born in Jefferson, LA and raised here in Baton Rouge. She attended the Episcopal School through graduation before attending Tulane University for a time and matriculating with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Louisiana State University in 2013. After working in both equine and companion animal practice as a veterinary assistant, she returned to Louisiana State University to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. She has been a passionate cat lover and owner since childhood. She began her career as a veterinarian in low cost spay/neuter, and then transitioned to companion animal general practice. She considers feline-only practice her “dream job” due to her passion for cats and feline medicine and her sense of connection to other cat people.
In addition to her love of felines, Dr. Chloe is also an avid equestrian. She has two horses; Sugar, a pony from her childhood that she still owns, and Jackson, a Thoroughbred gelding. She has competed in hunter/jumper competitions and also enjoys trail riding.
Dr. Chloe currently resides in Mid-City with no less than seven fond feline companions (George, Rhett, Brooke, Melanie, Brandon, Big Boy, and Tortilla) and two dogs (Daisy and Dexter), both rescued from the levees of the Mississippi River. In addition to horseback riding, she enjoys cycling, competing occasionally in gravel cycling events, her favorite being the Rouge Roubaix in St. Francisville. She also enjoys hiking and visiting National Parks.
Dr. Chloe is a member of the Feline Veterinary Medical Association and has completed a Cat Friendly Veterinarian certificate.
